21 months old

Matthew is 21 months old. Sorry I'm late in posting. Matthew is talking a lot more. He wants to know the words of things and tries to repeat what I say. He has gotten really good at saying "please" and "thank you". He hasn't figured out "your welcome" but that's okay. It's so cute when we go through a drive-thru he yells "thank you" to the order taker.

Since the last update we have had New Years and Matt's brother, Nathan, and his wife, Stephanie have come to visit. We all went to Dave&Busters for dinner and games on New Years Eve. Matthew fell asleep in his stroller around 10 or so. We also celebrated Christmas since last time and I'm sure everyone knows by know that we announced on Christmas that we are expecting our second child due July 12th. We've been preparing Matthew by showing him babies and he gets so excited when he sees a baby. One time he called a 5 year old a baby cause they were crying.

We have also celebrated Matt's 30th birthday this week. My mom and I cooked him a great dinner on his actual birthday. We had steaks, roasted red potatoes, broccoli and cheese, glazed carrots, homemade rolls, and of course cake. Matthew kept calling the cake "cupcakes". I also got Matt a travel mug that had paper in it that Matthew could color and then you insert it into the mug. I got Matthew these crayola crayons that are in ball shapes. Which is suppose to help them learn to color. I also got him the ones that go in the tub which he loves those. He always colors when he's in the tub but he will not get out until all the crayon is cleaned off. I also got him the same thing but with stamps instead of crayons. He has a duck, beaver, and an alligator. He colored and stamped on the paper that went into the cup. So since he got the hang of it he wants to color all the time. Then the next day Matt's family came up and we all went to skyline for lunch. Then Matt and I spent the evening out just the two of us.

This weekend Matthew has gotten a really bad cold. When he coughs I can hear the congestion in his chest and his nose is really runny. His appetite always goes way down when he doesn't feel good. He had a cold in early December and it turned into double ear infections so I would like this cold gone and fast before it creates any other problems. I can not wait until winter is over and we can go to the park and not worry about Matthew getting sick.

We go in for our next ultrasound Feb. 24th and hopefully we will find out what we're having. They have looked a couple of times to see what the baby is but it's never in the right position.  I will probably wait to repost after that.
