HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW

Matthew turns 1 today. It's hard to believe he is one already. The time has gone bye so fast. I still see him as such a tiny baby and hadn't really thought about how big he's getting. I recently went through his baby clothing and baby pictures. Which is weird to say cause I still consider him my little baby. But I was shocked at how much he has changed over just 12 months. No matter how big he gets he'll always be my little man.

Matthew has started to walk a bit. He can get to a standing position on his own and take a few steps. But I know when he finally does get it down he will just take off. With in the past week Matthew got all of his bottom teeth in. It was like they shot up over night. Then his top back teeth came in a few days later. He is constantly eating so it's a good thing those teeth came in. He's been eating so many new foods. He will usually eat his lunch and then nibble on mine. He hasn't really met a food he doesn't like yet. Which is wonderful cause his Daddy is picky enough for all of us. I am currently planning Matthew's 1st birthday celebration. I've been pretty busy lately so it has kind of snuck up on me but I am looking forward to it.

This past week my dad has been in the hospital cause of a broken hip. As many people know my dad has many health issues. Unfortunatly these issues have caused them to put off operating on his hip. I have been going down almost everyday to Lancaster to see him. They tell us everyday that they will do the surgery that day but it has been canceled six times already. They have said they have one procedure to do then they will finally do the surgery on Wednesday. Surgery is always scary but in my dad's case it is extremely risky. So I just ask that you keep him in your prayers.

A case of Mother Knows Best:

Along with everything else going on I have been having to see the doctor for the past three weeks. I feel like an idiot because I should have just listened to my mother. I had a little rash on my neck and after a week it still hadn't gone away. It seemed to be getting bigger as well. I hadn't worn jewelery in months, no new soaps, or laudry detergents. I finally went to the doctor and she thought it was shingles. So I took medicine for a week and the rash was still there. Plus I had to watch out for chicken pox on Matthew because I would have been contagious to anyone who hadn't had the chicken pox. So then I went back to the doctors and they said it could be some kind of fungus. Which is weird cause how do you get a fungus on your neck? But anyways I got a perscription cream and used it. It made the rash even worse. So the doctor said to stop that and said it must not be a fungus. From the very beginning of the rash my mom said to put antibiotic ointment on it. But I ignored her. Three weeks I had to deal with this and she just kept telling me to use antibiotic ointment. I mean everytime I complained about it she would tell me to use antibiotic ointment. So after everything failed I thought I would amuse her and use the ointment. After one day it's much better so THANKS MOM!!
