He stood up!!!
11/21/2008
Matthew is 7 1/2 months old now. He pulled up to a standing position today. He was sitting in the bath tub. He grabbed the sides of the tub and just stood up. Of course I was right there watching him. I was shocked!!! I knew he was trying to stand but he had his feet together so I didn't think he could do it. But he put his feet down and stood up. He was still holding on to the tub...one step at a time. Hopefully he will do it outside the bath tub next time.
He has really started to get himself from one place to another. He was in front of the tv and rolled/crawled all the way to the 1/2 bathroom in the hall way. He is also getting the hang of the walker. He is just to cute in that thing. Today Matt came home and he was behind the island hiding. As soon as he saw Matt he just took off towards him. He loves hanging out with Daddy. It's so cute when they sit on the couch together. Matthew just snuggles up to him and looks so relaxed. The other day he was so quiet Matt asked me if he was asleep but no he was just watching tv.
He is on stage 3 foods and has been for awhile. He just gobbles them down. But there is such a big leap in stage 3 to stage 4 foods. Stage 4 is like chunks of veggies and stuff or it says "for Toddlers". He has started eating puffs already but the doctor said he could start eating that type of food. I just worry about choking and all so I am very causious. He still shows no interest in feeding himself. If I have the spoon, bottle, or puff in my hand he will open his mouth wide and come towards it. It's weird cause his hands are out like he doesn't want to touch it. If I put the puff in front of him he will pick them up but that's about it. He is still mostly bottle feeding. We have sippy cups but he is very sensitive to the spout. If it's not soft enough he hates it. We have 1 that is really soft. It's harder than a regular nipple but softer than most cups.
It's official Matthew has 4 visible teeth. The 2 top ones are coming in nicely and you can see them when he smiles big.
I hope you enjoyed the update. Check back for new pics soon.
