New Update!!! 3 1/2 months
7/22/2008
Matthew is now 15 weeks or 3 ½ months old. Matthew was baptized a few weeks ago. Sorry it’s taking so long to upload new photos. It was a very nice ceremony. Matthew cried just a little but pretty much slept through the whole thing. Matthew's Aunt Carolina and Uncle Bobby were also here to visit as well. It was nice having them here. They thought Matthew looked like a doll baby.
He is getting so big. He had an unexpected doctor’s appointment this week. He was fussier than usual and spitting up a lot. He usually only cries when he needs changed or fed but he was crying for what it seemed like for no reason. So I called the doctor and they said he probably had either an ear infection or acid reflux. I took him in yesterday and he weighs 15 pounds 4 ounces. Low and behold he had acid reflux. Apparently if a parent has it or has had it then it is very common that their children will get. I’ve had it since I was teenager. It comes and goes for me and the doc said that it would come and go for him as well. So she put him on baby zantac. It seems to be making a difference all ready. She was very happy about is neck control. She said he was doing very well. They didn’t measure him but he is getting vey tall. In fact the 3-6 month outfit I put on him today is quite small so I will be pulling out the 6-9 months VERY soon. It’s hard to believe he was only 6 pounds just a few months ago. We will be going back in two weeks for his 4 month well check so I will update again soon.
Last weekend Matt got with a bunch of people to play baseball. So Matthew and I tagged along. A friend of Matt’s had brought his little boy (Wysten) as well. So I just set and watched both the boys because I am terrible at baseball anyways. Wysten is about 5 months older then Matthew but he is only about 5lbs bigger than him. I posted a picture of both of them together. Wysten was so cute with Matthew. Wysten just kept petting Matthew and rolling over onto him. Matthew was maybe a little jealous. I was holding Wysten and I looked over at Matthew and he had the biggest frown. It was too cute. I think we are all planning on getting together for another game this weekend.
I have been quiet busy these days. With Matthew sleeping through the night now he is awake a lot more during the day. Don’t get me wrong I love the 8-9 hours of sleep I am getting. But this leaves me less time to get my stuff done. I used to wait until he fell asleep to grocery shop but no more. He is just so fascinated by everything and has a hard time falling asleep with a lot of commotion. He isn’t really into the rolling or crawling thing but he does like to stand up and look at stuff.
Also Matt only has 4 class sessions left until graduation. We are both looking forward to it so much. He will be having two ceremonies at the end of August. Info for all that will be coming soon.
I hope you enjoyed the new update and pictures.
