Sept. Update 2008
9/04/2008
This is just a little update. Matthew is doing really well. His 2 bottom front teeth are completely in now. He looks so cute when he smiles. Of course he always did but even cuter now. He has been spending a lot more time on his tummy. He is getting better at rolling. He has also started turning while on his belly. He will start out facing 12 o'clock and go clockwise then end up at 7 o'clock. He usually does it if he sees a toy he wants. It's funny when he turns to get a toy then sees another one. Then he looks at them both. Back and forth then decides which one he wants. But the look of confusion on his face is so funny. He is also sitting up pretty well. He still tumbles but recovers quickly. I am usually down playing with him while he sets but I don't always catch him. He needs to learn to fall and recover from it on his own. Otherwise when he does fall without me it will scare him and he hasn't cried once when he has fallen. But he only sits on the carpet and not hard floor.
Matt and I are doing okey dokey. Matt is busy getting his PMP. He is also enjoying his new laptop which he got for all his hard work on his MBA. I have been cleaning, shopping, and party planning. I am planning a shower for a friend of mine this weekend. Matt and I are also going to the OSU/OU game on Saturday. We are plannig on attending a tailgate party before the game. This will be both Matt and I's first OSU and OU game. I haven't been to a football game in years. My mom, Nana, will be watching Matthew all day for us. Even if we could get him a ticket it would be so hot. There would be no way I would take him. Not to mention the crowds. I had him in his carseat stroller at Matt's graduation and people still bumped into him. I guess maybe because it sits lower people just don't see him down there.
Matthew has been eating squash, sweet potatoes, and bananas. The squash and sweet potatoes he eats with a spoon. The banana is fresh and I put it in this feeder thing. It looks like a big pacifier but has a mesh bag on it to put fresh food into. He loved it. The only thing is is that he can drop it so I wanted to attach it with his pacifier holder. But since he doesn't really use one I don't know where I put it. So I'm looking for it but if I can't find it I will get another one. But I recommend this item to any mom. I got the idea from Cindy so THANKS! It helps him learn to feed himself and introduces him to real foods. I love it.
I put up new pictures and I should have more soon. My mom apparently has a camera full of pics. So when I get them I will post em'.
Also my brother, Nick, is celebrating his birthday this week at Disney World. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK!!!
Hope you enjoyed the update.
